About FUTURENTITY
FUTURENTITY is a 24-month European cooperation project that empowers citizens to actively shape the future of democracy, digital identity, and human-centred digital citizenship. Bringing together universities, civil society organisations, municipalities, and European networks from eight countries, the project creates inclusive spaces where people can discuss, co-create, and influence policies related to artificial intelligence, digital rights, and the future of Europe.
As digital technologies and AI increasingly shape everyday life, FUTURENTITY ensures that European citizens remain at the centre of decision-making. Through innovative Citizens’ Councils, seminars, debates, consultations, and transnational exchanges, the project strengthens democratic participation, promotes digital inclusion, and reinforces a shared European identity based on fundamental rights, equality, and solidarity.
The project is structured around three interconnected pillars:

- Policy & Governance for Inclusive Digital Citizenship
Throughout the project, more than 770 citizens from diverse backgrounds, including young people, women, migrants, people with disabilities, rural communities, and older generations, will contribute to building recommendations for a more democratic, inclusive, and human-centred digital Europe.
Together, we are building a future where technology strengthens democracy, empowers citizens, and reinforces European values.
